I have been reading a lot lately on creative process and have been trolling through Margaret Wheatley's book Leadership and the New Science. It has been around for a few years now and is well respected but I just hadn't read it until now. Having spent time reading and thinking about the work of Michel Serres, some of Wheatley's themes are familiar, though no less legitmate for having appeared in slightly different guise elsewhere. Her contribution is in directly linking the complexity science insights to organizational leadership contexts in an accessible and clear way.
My work on developing an ingenuity arts curriculum for individuals and groups is making good progress and I have some places where I can beta test the material for further refinement. It is difficult to be specific and structured with ideas without reducing the process to a methodology - difficult but not impossible and I will keep working at it.
In the next week or two I also want to post regular audio files that present short introductions to the content in order to get comments and critiques back.
