The gap in writing over the past month owes to a month-long road trip that my family and I were on for the month of July. 31 days on the road, two parents, 4 kids, 7,800 miles (12,500 km), 18 states and provinces. Fantastic. We learned a lot about each other and this continent we inhabit. More to follow but here are a couple of photographs (a cabin in Pennsylvania with the kids running the camera and the reading room at the Art Institute of Chicago exhibit of Jeff Wall).
