Someone once said that you can best identify what you are passionate about by thinking about what bothers you most, your holy discontent. I can't stand wasted potential. When I see highly skilled people in organizations that give them menial work, that bothers me. When I observe talented human beings who are kept down by others out of fear, my inner agitation really goes up.
And organizations. What about these large social entities with so much possibility, idling away at half-speed? What are we to do when we consider all the good they might engage in and compare it with what actually gets accomplished? That really gets at me.
I believe in my heart and soul that we can do much more, be much more, and enrich people and society much more than we do now. I do not believe we have reached the apex of human function. That is still ahead of us. Pioneers everywhere are signing up for the trek. I am among them.
