37Signals and Office Design

Here's a brief video about how 37Signals has balanced privacy, interaction and physical space to achieve the mix of what they think is needed to be successful.

I really loved the felt walls designed like ledgestone. I've followed up with some queries about where to get industrial felt like that and have been successful in finding both Canadian and US suppliers. It's a great material (and the video tour is interesting as well).

Those felt walls are amazing! I saw them in person when I visited 37signals in November:

Let me know if you find anyone in Canada that uses them. I've located a couple of industrial felt suppliers in the Toronto area and I'm exploring the possibility of doing our Reading Room here at the office with that kind of material. It would have a great sound-deadening effect and I wonder if that's part of the library feel of 37signals.

Justin, I also see that you are from the Edmonton area. I grew up on a farm 45 minutes west of Grande Prairie.
